The Pepper Pod’s ELLE-vation™ Awards recognize the achievements of women from the Canadian veteran, military and RCMP community who have supported, empowered and lifted women around them. We celebrate women from diverse backgrounds, ranks, and stages of career who go out of their way to be a champion of other women.
An ELLE-vation™ woman is an extraordinary woman who celebrates sisters, empowers souls and raises the spirits of other amazing women. She is a leader, mentor, ally, coach, game-changer, role model and everyday hero who elevates others with compassion, confidence and commitment.
- She uses her influence to inspire change.
- She is admired and respected for her authenticity, kindness and humility.

Do you know a woman who has served or is serving in the Canadian Armed Forces or the RCMP who has distinguished herself through acts of support for other women…either through one significant gesture or through multiple gestures of relentless lifting?
Three ELLE-vation™ Awards recipients will be selected from among the nominees to attend The Pepper Pod’s Dinner In Our Forest on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, as guests of honour, where they will be recognized for their dedication to elevating other women.
We accept nominations of women from all stages of their career and life, representing all ranks, trades, classifications and experience.
It’s easy to nominate…
Simply fill out the ELLE-vation™ Awards Nomination Form online (after verifying with your nominee that she approves of her candidature) and submit it to The Pepper Pod no later than June 15, 2023.

Why take the time to nominate?
The Pepper Pod’s ELLE-vation™ Awards aim to recognize the accomplishments of women from the veteran, military and RCMP community across Canada. They are also an opportunity to highlight examples of how women can support, advocate for and promote other women in these fields, and how we, as women, can become better allies, mentors and coaches to one another.
By nominating a woman who has helped you or other women:
- You are telling her – and the world – that she is an extraordinary and courageous woman who is inspiring others and making a difference.
- You are honouring her accomplishments, giving her the opportunity to build a legacy, and validating her hard work, dedication and contributions.
- You are showing her that she has had an impact. This recognition could make all the difference in her world to keep moving forward in her purpose.

Frequently Asked Questions
Nominees must be women who are veterans or serving in the Canadian Armed Forces or the RCMP. We accept nominations of women from all stages of their career and life representing all ranks, trades, classifications and experience.
- Who can nominate someone for the ELLE-vation™ Awards? Any individual or organization may nominate a woman for the ELLE-vation™ Awards by completing and submitting the ELLE-vation™ Awards Nomination Form to The Pepper Pod online.
- What is required to nominate someone? The form requires contact information for the nominator and nominee, the completion of short answer questions, and one high resolution photo of the nominee.
- Is there a fee to submit a nomination? No, there is no fee to submit a nomination.
- What is the deadline for submitting a nomination? ELLE-vation™ Awards Nomination Form must be completed and submitted online to The Pepper Pod by June 15, 2023. No incomplete or late entries will be accepted.
- How is judging completed? All completed and eligible nominations will be forwarded to The Pepper Pod ELLE-vation™ Awards Committee for judging.
- How are winners chosen? Judging is based on the information submitted, against the ELLE-vation™ Awards criteria:Women from the veteran, military or RCMP community who have demonstrated outstanding support for other women, through mentorship, advocacy, inspiration, promotion, coaching or significant acts of kindness.
- How many ELLE-vation™ Awards Recipients will there be? Three recipients will be chosen from among the nominees.
The three ELLE-vation™ Awards Recipients will be invited to attend The Pepper Pod’s Dinner In Our Forest on September 9th, 2023, where they will be guests of honour and receive their awards. Being named an ELLE-vation™ Awards Recipient includes free tickets, travel and accommodations to attend the event.
- The nominator provides consent on behalf of the nominee for submitting the ELLE-vation™ Awards Nomination Form. A nominee may opt to decline the nomination by contacting The Pepper Pod.
- Nominees’ and recipients’ names, bios and photos may be published for marketing or promotional purposes by The Pepper Pod and/or Veterans Affairs Canada.
- Nominees are eligible for re-nomination in subsequent years.
- All programs and content are in English and French. Submissions can be provided in either language.
- By submitting a nomination, nominators will be automatically registered to receive The Pepper Pod SitRep newsletter and be included on our distribution list.
