After a successful inaugural year, the Pepper Pod Paddlers are set to make waves again and we’d love if you’d join us!

We’re recruiting for three vital roles:

• Paddlers: Join the crew powering the boat to glory (20 + spares)
• Set-Up Crew: Lead the set up and take down of the Pepper Pod Pavilion (4 people)
• Race Day Supporters: Slice watermelon and make sure everyone’s happy and hydrated (4 people)

Priority for Paddler positions will be as follows:

1. Last year’s paddlers
2. Lifeshop™ Grads
3. The Greater Pepper Pod Community

• Team Captain – Cathy Priestman
• Drummer – Sandra Perron
• Trainer – Meghan Bellefleur
• … and hopefully YOU!

We’ll have a dryland meeting at the Pepper Pod to meet the team and share some info to keep you in the loop.

If you’re registering as a Paddler, make sure you’re available to practice on June 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, & 20 at 6:15 pm at the Rideau Canoe Club (804 Hog’s Back Rd., Ottawa). Practices will begin at 6:15pm and will go for 60-90 minutes. Please be sure to arrive 20 minutes before the practice begins.

The Pepper Pod Pavilion will be your home base for the race weekend. You’ll have a comfy place to rest, and share food, drinks and laughs. Our dedicated Race Day Supporters will watch over personal items like phones and purses while Paddlers are on the water.
