We’re excited to continue the BuildHERS program with generous support from the Royal Canadian Legion Dominion Command — and we want you to be part of it!

Whether you’re new to construction or looking to brush up on the basics, BuildHERS is a welcoming space for women veterans to gain hands-on experience and confidence with tools and safety practices.

No Experience? No Problem!

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to safely use essential tools like hammers, drills, and saws
  • First Aid and CPR training to help keep yourself and others safe
  • Practical construction skills in a supportive environment

What We Provide:

  • All tools and building materials
  • A BuildHERs shirt if you don’t already have one
  • A safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Delicious lunches, snacks, and drinks
  • A fun and empowering experience!

BuildHERs supply their own steel-toe boots (mandatory), work gloves (labelled with your name), a water bottle to stay hydrated, your drill (optional), a BuildHERs t-shirt if you already have one, and your super attitude!
