Tim Horton’s Dragon Boat Race

After a successful inaugural year, the Pepper Pod Paddlers are set to make waves again and we’d love if you’d join us!

Mooney’s Bay Beach in Ottawa

We’re recruiting for three vital roles:

Paddlers: Join the crew powering the boat to glory
Set-Up Crew: Help set up and take down the Pepper Pod Pavilion
Race Day Supporters: Slice watermelon and make sure everyone’s happy and hydrated

Priority for Paddler positions will be as follows:

Last year’s paddlers
Lifeshop™ Grads
The Greater Pepper Pod Community

Paddler Practice

If you’re registering as a Paddler, make sure you’re available to practice on June 6, 8, 15 and 22, 2023 at the Rideau Canoe Club (804 Hog’s Back Rd., Ottawa). Practices will begin at 6:15pm sharp and will go for 60-90 minutes. Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes before the practice begins.

Pepper Pod Pavilion

The Pepper Pod Pavilion will be your home base for the race weekend. You’ll have a comfy place to rest, and share food, drinks and laughs. Our dedicated Race Day Supporters will watch over personal items like phones and purses while Paddlers are on the water.
